Role & contribution
As Principal & Design Director at Enspace, I led the project from concept through completion. I developed the architectural and interior direction in response to the site, daylight, materials, and long-term use.
daffodil house
WOODSIDE, CA
The Daffodil House is a two-bedroom residence located near a daffodil field in Woodside, CA. The golden daffodil became an architectural inspiration because of the flower’s simplicity and resilience - the bulb never stops growing and continues to absorb nutrients year-round to prepare for the bloom. As a spring flower and the first to bloom, daffodils are symbols of rebirth and hope. They signify new life as they are strong little survivors who have weathered the winter storms. This house, like nature, is made of sustainable materials and systems that will last for many generations.
This project was completed at Enspace in San Francisco, where I served as Principal & Design Director, leading the project from concept to completion.
Private residence and interiors
Woodside, California
Daffodil House is a two-bedroom residence in Woodside, California, near a field of daffodils that inspired its name and design. Bright interiors, natural materials, and connections to outdoor space give the home a domestic scale. The project’s design approach draws on the flower’s simplicity and resilience, with materials and systems intended for long-term use. The interior and architectural design were developed together in response to the setting.

The home’s relationship to the nearby daffodil field informed a design approach centered on simplicity and resilience. Daylight and outdoor connections shape the interior experience.
